She wanted to learn how to fight—to have the strength to defend those who needed it most. Thus, she spent most of her time wandering near the city's training grounds, until the day she was invited to learn the way of the blade. She found her calling and made friends, though she never formed a deep bond with any of them. She first joined a squad escorting merchants and, through her achievements, eventually became a squad leader. Although she climbed the ranks and learned to wield a sword with agility, she loathed the military atmosphere and the silence of certain leaders regarding the injustices within the city.Over time, her passion for combat was eroded by abuse and betrayal. Her aging parents pressured her heavily to find a respectable husband willing to inherit the tannery. Her bitterness grew until she stopped coming home for dinner, skipping training to seek refuge in the library. She loved reading about the world, its vibrant landscapes, its cuisine, and… magic. While she knew the basics taught by healers, it was still a largely unknown field to her. "Why not, after all? If it can help those in need, it's best to have more than one string to my bow," she thought.Nights passed, then days where she took leave just to sit in a corner of the library and devour every tome. She read on and on. She performed secret tests on the vermin skittering through the corridors at night… or on herself. Unsurprisingly, testing these spells on herself altered her mind, leaving her isolated and obsessed with magical knowledge. Then, one day, her parents died mysteriously. Together. Feeling suffocated in Ishgard and like a stranger in her own life, she left the city in search of new adventures. She now fulfills hunting contracts, tracking ancient tomes and traveling across Etheirys to continue her quest for knowledge.An online translator has been used, as English isn't my first langage
🧠Personality
Exieris may come across as cold and pensive, but she is fundamentally kind-hearted and willing to help. Her military background makes her very direct, and she likes to maintain control of the situation.As a result of her magical experiments, she believes that the ends justify the means. She can experience sudden mood swings, showing a complete lack of empathy during a conflict, for example. She isn't much of a talker, preferring to speak in a soft, deep voice.Highly observant, she will carefully assess her conversation partners before deciding if they are worth her energy.

1. The huntress
Having left Ishgard behind, Exieris now makes a living fulfilling difficult hunting contracts across Etheirys. You might cross paths with her in a tavern, on the road, or you could hire her as a seasoned blade to escort a merchant caravan it's a job she knows all too well from her military days.
2. Magic focused ... or obsessed
Her obsession with magic hasn't faded. She is constantly tracking down ancient tomes, lost knowledge, and rare alchemical ingredients. If you are a scholar, an antiquarian, or someone in possession of forbidden magical texts, she will definitely want to strike a deal with you.
3. Whispers of Ishgard
Rumors fly fast in the Holy See. Perhaps you remember the skilled squad leader who grew disgusted with the city's injustices. Or maybe you've heard the darker rumors about the wealthy tanner family whose adopted Duskwight daughter vanished right after their sudden, mysterious deaths. Are you an old military acquaintance, an investigator, or a noble who knows too much?
